Why your document might be taking a while—and what to do next
Document Generation: What to Do If It’s Taking a Long Time
Occasionally, a document may take longer than expected to generate in ScopeStack. Here's what to know if you find yourself waiting:
How Document Generation Works
When you click Generate Document, the request is placed into a processing queue. Most of the time, this queue is short or even empty, and documents generate in under a minute thanks to available workers that handle jobs in real time.
What Causes Delays?
-
High Usage: If many users are generating documents at once, a short queue may form.
-
Browser Issues: Sometimes the document generates successfully, but your browser doesn’t get the “it’s ready” signal. A refresh may reveal that the document is already available.
-
Edge Cases: In rare instances, the document may appear stuck due to an unknown issue—but this is uncommon.
What Should You Do?
-
Wait 15–20 minutes before retrying. Most delays resolve in that window.
-
Refresh your browser after waiting to see if the document is available and try generating again without force regenerating.
-
Still stuck? Reach out via chat. We’re happy to check if it’s a queue issue or something else. Note: Clicking generate again adds another document to the queue—it doesn’t cancel the original request.

If you’re ever unsure, just send us a quick message. We can confirm whether your document is still in the queue or already complete.
