🆕 New Features and Functionality
🏷️ Guided Project Creation
We've created a new multi-step guided process that will enable you to easily start scoping projects.
When you begin a new project, you can use a new guided flow that will lead you through the key data of a successful project, including the summary information, service offerings, and pricing details, before generating your documents. With this update, we're working to make it as easy as possible for you to dive into projects and be prompted to input the appropriate information at the best times. This new feature will help you scope projects more quickly and have a better experience in building your projects. We developed this feature with the help of a lot of user input, feedback from our Advisory Group, and data about the use of the platform to ensure we've built it in a way that enables you to create projects successfully.
While you are in the project creation process, the platform saves your work. If you ever want to return to the regular Project Editor, you can always navigate to the Projects list, select your project, and continue where you left off.
You may also notice that the layout of the New Project page has changed. Don't worry; all the same information is there; the page has a new layout.
We've enabled this update on all free accounts, and all existing paid accounts may enable this today. Admins with permission to edit Account Settings can toggle the Guided Scoping Experience on and off here:

🆕 Other Recent Updates
- You can now filter the list of standard Professional Services in Settings by Service Category and Phase.
- You can now manage the contacts associated with your Client in Settings to make it easier to manage Primary Customer Contacts and Customer Contacts available on Projects.
- You can now create Variables associated with Standard Services. There is no interface to manipulate them in the UI of a Project, but this has been helpful for some customers doing custom API reporting.
- You can now assign the effort, revenue, and cost of a Governance item with the Service that caused the effort to be created. This is helpful for Governance items added to projects to account for overages within a Project.
